Over the course of the year, our 4S team has earned a measure of respect and notoriety in the Eastern Foundry incubator. So, when the Foundry hosted their EFy awards in mid-December our team swept everything except EF Cheerleader (huzzah Amina and NEOSTEK) and Best Dressed. That’s not to say we’re shabby, but some folks at the Foundry are especially spiffy dressers. Eli Senter won “Most Likely to Know a Guy” and Michael Mahoney won the Best Cookie award with Aunt Ann's Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal, and Pecan Cookies.
We wanted Mike to share the recipe for his amazing cookies, but giving the family secrets away is punishable by death. Who knew the Mahoney family took their baked goods so seriously?
We threw ourselves a holiday party of our own later in the week to celebrate a year of growth. We were joined by the eastern contingent of our sister firm KaiHonua. We only suffered minor casualties over the course of the evening, with the most damage being done to the whiskey bar. Kora put out an excellent four course spread for us and after a White Elephant gift exchange (which included a cereal box of marshmallows and a Swiss Army knife) we had a lovely evening of Cards Against Humanity, dart gun fights, and Super Smash Brothers.
By Monday morning we were back to project deadlines, but we had some stories.
Happy New Year!
